The story behind the creation of my business stems from finding broken shattered glass on the side of the road while running. While running, I often reflect and pray. During those times of reflection, I found that I had a calling to help out my community. So in addition to helping keep the roads clean, I also wanted to find a local community center to support.
10% of the proceeds of every sale benefit the Sojourner Center of Phoenix, a local women's crisis center in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Sojourner center in Phoenix was founded in 1977 as an emergency program for women who had recently been released from Prison. The center helped teach these women the skills they needed in order to rebuild their lives and re-enter society.
The women in the Sojourner Center have something in common with our re-purposed glass. Their bodies may have been broken, their souls shattered, but with love and care, each woman has the power to be transformed into something more resilient, more enduring. Broken, once nurtured, can transform into beautiful. Thank you for your support in helping these courageous women!
